David Grassick
Chairman
 
David has 30 years experience in the international oil industry, including:
  • Currently CEO of Spinner Energy, a new start up oil & gas company, and also part time consultant for an international oil company and a private equity firm;
  • Founder and Managing Director Granby Oil & Gas plc, an AIM listed exploration and production company with operations in the Philippines, UK North Sea and Poland which was sold in April 2008 for £23million. Also Chairman of Governors of Haslemere Preparatory School Trust (2005-2008);
  • Founder and Managing Director of Team Oil Ltd which led to the formation Granby Oil & Gas plc (2002-2005); Various senior posts at Enterprise Oil plc including General Manager for Middle East for Enterprise Oil plc, secondment as General Manager of Crescent Petroleum in the U.A.E., Technical Manager and deputy General Manager of Northern Operations, Reservoir Development Manager and Chief Production Engineer (1984 -2002);
David is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Energy Institute and the Institute of Directors.
Dr. Roger Cairns

Roger Cairns is a chemist by training. While at Hardy Oil & Gas plc Dr. Cairns was responsible for the technical and operational side of the Group’s activities covering ten countries including Canada and the USA.. He took early retirement from Hardy Oil & Gas in 1997, since when he has worked as a consultant or Director for various companies within the oil industry.
He was an independent director on the Board of Technip, a leading international oil, gas and petrochemical engineering, construction and services company based in Paris and listed in Paris and New York. Dr Cairns has published 18 papers including “Increased oil production from wet wells in sandstone by modifying the relative permeability. He has extensive experience in the oil industry which has included:
  • Managing Director of Hardy Oil & Gas plc
  • Technical and Commercial Director of Trafalgar Oil & Gas Ltd
  • Over 18 years in various roles with BP.
Bob Pritchard
Managing Director
 
Bob has over twenty-five years experience working in the oil industry in both e downstream and upstream sectors. Initially trained as a Chemical Engineer at Leeds University. He has worked as a process engineer commissioning refineries. Bob cross trained as a Petroleum Engineer and has worked for major oil companies in the UK, Middle and Far East.
Bob has held senior Management Roles in Enterprise Oil and more recently a Directorship in Eclipse Petroleum Technology. Bob was appointed as Managing Director of ERS effective in October 2009. Career highlights include:
  • Director of Eclipse Petroleum Technology Ltd.
  • New Development Manager and Well Engineering Manager for Enterprise Oil PLC
  • Petroleum Engineer at LASMO PLC Responsible for completions and testing operations in Pakistan, Indonesia, Perth Australia and Rome, Italy
  • Production Manager at Kelt Energy/Carless PLC responsible for the Humbly Grove oilfield onshore UK as well as exploration well testing in Gabon.
  • Petroleum Engineer at AMOCO GB Ltd
  • Process engineer at Bechtel GB Ltd.
Sergey Poletaev

Sergey Poletaev is an engineer and businessman with over 20 years’ experience of working in Russia and the US, including:
  • General Director of United Way a Soviet-American joint-venture, which patented and produced electric welding equipment
  • President of The Center of New Technologies, a company formed to promote the development of technology and co-ordination between scientists
  • Executive Director of International Symposium Association LLC, a company formed in the US to promote the development of technology and co-ordination between scientists
  • The owner of International Industrial Services LLC in the United States to provide services to Russian oil companies
 
Dr Peter Stefanini
Director
 
A Cambridge PhD with thirty five years general management experience in the plastics, chemical and scientific instruments sectors. He has been director of a UK FTSE 250 PLC, led an MBI of a £50 million turnover chemical company.
Most recently he was executive chairman of Millbrook Scientific Instruments (2000 –2007), an early stage technology company, which he took to an AIM listing in 2004.
  • Executive chairman of Millbrook Scientific Instruments PLC 2000 –2007, a start-up which he took to an AIM listing in 2004.
  • Chief Executive of Manro Holdings Limited 1996-2000, a £50 million turnover manufacturer of surfactants.  He led the £33 million buy-in from a UK PLC and organized the sale to a US chemicals major.
  • Main board director of Croda International PLC 1992-6, a £400 million turnover chemical company, running a £100 million global division.
  • Chairman of the Business & Trade Board of the UK Chemical Industries Association 1992-6.
Robert Osborne

Robert Osborne is an experienced business leader. A Civil Engineer, he has over 25 years of business leadership: change, start up, growth and turnaround, including operational experience in Support Services, Building Contracting, Project Management, Construction Management, Consultancy and Business Development.
His experience includes:
  • Successful MBO, growth and disposal of a specialist consultancy practice
  • Main board director Amey PLC a £1bn turnover FTSE-listed UK support services plc
  • 16 years at the forefront of transformation of the public services via PFI/PPP including; acting Chief Executive for Partnerships for Schools (the £45bn Building Schools for the Future Programme); Head the Private Finance Unit at the NHS Executive and Past member of the Treasury Task Force Steering Group
  • International experience: 7 years in USA, 3 years in France
  • Past Chairman of the Business Services Association.
  • Current Member of the General Policy Committee of the Management Consultancies Association (MCA)
  • Current Member of the Editorial Panel for PPP Journal.
